When I enter MEL as origin, I'm presented with a sale fare to Cairns at $155 valid from June 01 to June 02. Wow! Lucky my dates were flexible... maybe they are encouraging us to take a status run over that weekend?

The airfares on that link are not that special at all.

Not if you call SYD-BNE at $109 special....

VA's website usually gives me headaches but I think I scored tonight? This also isn't the first time it's occured either - scoring a sale fare though sale fares not being advertised for the dates I booked.

Just booked CBR-SYD 5th July and SYD-CBR 7th July and each sector was $75, which contradicts with the dates below.

Also forgot to mention their business class is one of the cheapest I've seen! (not that I can afford it, but may be good for someone)

You can [practice with an FT lounge meet on the 10th August - I was pushing for OOL but BNE got the nod!

Looking to do a quick SC trip BNE NTL return to get 20sc that will qualify me for VFF gold. The turnaround time for flights in NTL is only 30 minutes. Does anyone know if the same plane returns to BNE or would I have to book a later return. ?

Almost certainly same plane as i know the MEL-NTL-MEL flight is same plane and BNE is their only other destination.

Looks like Virgin won't allow a quick trip down and back. As soon as I select the leg to NTL it greys out the immediate return leg becomes "unavailable". Means a several hour wait at NTL to do the run.

Or you can do 2 separate one way bookings and check in on your phone
