I usually book through DJs website when I have to travel to Olympic Dam, however the airline who operates this service (Alliance Airlines) is now redirecting people to QFs website, also I noticed QF now codeshare on their service.

I think it's for the better. but does anyone know why Alliance Airlines made the change?

btw - the subject header should be ' Virgin Blue looses Alliance airlines'. ;)

I can still see Olympic Dam flights on DJ's site.

So all the BHP big wigs can connect through from their QF J class seats from MEL and PER with baggage checked all the way through to ODO.

Alliance Airlines Operation - Adelaide - Olympic Dam 21 November 2007
Qantas has assumed responsibility for selling Alliance Airlines flights between Adelaide and Olympic Dam for travel on/after 01 December 2007.

Sales on these services were previously undertaken by Virgin Blue and they have advised today that "all future bookings for travel between Adelaide and Olympic Dam from 01 December 2007 that are currently held in the Virgin system will be refunded and enquiries regarding re-booking should be directed to Alliance Airlines".

Qantas is currently in discussions with Alliance Airlines about reaccommodation arrangements for these passengers.

Sounds nasty lol

Maybe DJ informed Alliance that they would be flying their own new little planes up there?

Wonder if it has something to do with DJ forging closer alliance with Skywest.
