Load factors on the 777s looks very good too (yield seems reasonable too.....).

VA seem to have done their homework well, and even with the meltdown last year, the load factors and yield are good for an emerging International airline. Will be interesting to see how high VBA shares go over the next 6 months. They were 0.625c this morning, and I'm getting "VERY EXCITED" about some I picked up for 0.20c last year ( a gamble at that time)

Cheers Dee

You beat me to it. My thought is that Scaryteam would be climbing over themselves to get V Australia over *A, as they have no real presence here in AU. Hell, it'd be good for competition for OW too :)

Given DL were so adamant about getting JL into ST, it seems they want to give ST more muscle than just an also ran alliance. It may be that we will soon see DJ join ST. (Ironically VS just ended their relationship with DL.)
A move to ST by DJ would really outflank *A in Australia as all those DJ flyers would translate their local loyalty internationally to ST.

That's a big call. Eastbound probably good chance (US/SW pacific), as well as northbound (North Asia), but westbournd (SE Asia, India, ME) ... hmm I suspect it will take some convincing for people to move from SQ and TG to VN and GA when they join, but in the meantime is somewhat of a gap.
