Virgin Australia - Promo Codes (ongoing)

Well, there haven't been many VA promo codes turning up lately so I was pretty happy to find a new code from Virgin Mobile that runs thru to 31 Jan 2018.

Conditions are the same as the previous MRV49 code - so no use for New Zealand but the conditions are:

"save 10% off selected base fares on domestic Australia and selected international flights." for -"Anywhere in Australia, or internationally to Apia, Denpasar, Honiara, Nadi, Raratonga, Port Villa, Nuku'alofa, Port Moresby, or Los Angeles."

The usual 20 day Advance purchase period also applies.

The code for this is GPR69 and domestic dummy bookings have so far shown it works on Getaway, Elevate, Freedom and Business (although strangely, not on Business Saver, but that could well be a booking glitch).

Time for me to book my next set of PER flights before it loses the 332

Just about to book a Sydney- Perth return flight for my wife to accompany me who will be using my free ANZ travel rewards flight. Have never used a promo code.

It's not clear to me whether yours is a paid booking and your wife is using ANZ rewards travel flight but if it is a paid booking then yes - the code needs to be put in on the very first page when you do the booking search.

If you go the VirginAustralia website and select bookings then on the same page that you select your dates and destinations is a box marked 'Promo Code'.

Put the code GPR69 in here and proceed with your booking search.

When the results come up the fares with a promo with have a flag type symbol on them and also are quite often for unusual amounts with odd cents on the end of the fare due to the application of the discount on the whole dollar fare.

Thanks. Yeah. I have the free flight and there is plenty of availability for the dates we want. Need to book the wife. Promo not good for all fares so the current $199 each way flights are the best for us.

20 day advance purchase requirements are common with the codes. BLX69 is one code, but you may be outside the time window for it

Here is one that works on flights to and from Sydney it seems. May be no good for other cities.

10% off the cheapie Getaway fares of all things. And works for well under 20 days ahead that most seem to need - worked for me on SYD-ADL next weekend.
