Didn't work yesterday for all the Virgin sale ($470 Perth to Darwin biz now) fares. However I only book biz now as fully cancellable.

Not a discount code but potentially useful to know - I just received double points for "abandoned cart promo". I also still received the expected "book in app" double points promo of activated.

Having raced to QLD for a family emergency, OH and I checked our respective airline options for return flights on the 3rd (in app, me Virgin, him Qantas), agreed and booked on the 4th to fly BNE-CBR on the 5th. I don't know whether it being a last minute booking influenced the outcome so YMMV but it was a nice surprise when the points landed.

Sadly nope! Booked partner on an economy/Choice fare SYD-BNE return. Did use some points to upgrade her on the SYD-BNE leg so at least she has lounge access in one direction.

I'd managed to get us both to Plat with my flying back in the day but since I don't fly much now and she just flies to BNE, we're both effectively at zero status.

The business fares on sale are pretty good though - approx $730 return? I wouldn't normally pay that for such a short flight but I've seen it be a lot more expensive.
