Thanks for this - just used it on a Christmas trip PER-MEL, where the flexi ticket prices were not much more than saver (especially with the discount applied), will bump me up to Silver .

Handy tip -- thank folks -- just saved $250 on 2 Flexi fares to WA -- thanks for serfty for the heads-up!

And just got this today which may in turn assist others - on $5000 Biz fares, a huge saving. And all Etihad fares of course add to Virgin SCs.

Seems to imply in fine print, you can book on Virgin website to get it ... not sure how they'd track that.
