Virgin Australia LOST luggage

After 3 days of ZERO communication on Virgin Australia's part my luggage is still missing... No one answers the help line, the web tracker says my luggage is still being traced... I am leaving Sydney today for a diving course in Florida and all my dive gear is in the missing bag.
How does Virgin intend to send my bag to me should they ever recover it? any advise will be helpful as the Virgin staff certainly are not.
 
Welcome to AFF, it does indeed sound like its truely lost, so I am not sure what you expect to be told. When it turns up they will send it to where its required.

sorry to hear of your troubles, i know how worrying and stressful it can be...the best you can hope for is that you had clear name and address details on your bag and someone wakes up in a good enough mood to do their job

in my experience VA in SYD do the bare minimum when finding and returning lost luggage...they outsource it and the company who handles it is quite useless and provides zero service...their business model seems to be 'do not answer the phone, speak to no one, admit nothing'

another time, ANZ left my bag in SYD when i was travelling to YVR via SFO...on the phone, they told me to expect my bag at my Vancouver hotel promptly...when i finally got my bag 4 days later, i saw they had put my bag on a QF flight to LAX, then a couple of days later someone sent it to SFO where it sat until I made so many phone calls that someone decided to look around...they clearly had no intention of sending it anywhere

the 1 time Qantas lost my bag, they let me know before i went to to baggage claim, kept me updated every couple of hours, and delivered my bag to my home 6 hours later
