Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

What is it, or what was it meant to be?

On first looks, it seems to be fried rice, chicken and bok choy. Not sure if this is one of the vegetarian dishes that can have meat added.
I think the CM described it as like a honey something chicken and rice dish with vegetables? @twinaisle might know?

This was actually the meat dish, the other was a pasta with the option of adding chicken.

Jesus it looks absolutely terrible, I know lighting not the best, but looks yucko.
Thankfully was edible, just lacking a lot of taste.

It's a lemon chicken with rice. Was the pork originally but was subbed out to chicken

NTL-MEL this morning (deprived bc NTL-BNE is Alliance and therefore no J). Choice was bacon, egg, potato, bean concoction, or veg frittata. Fantastic service from Jason. We both went w the meat. I remarked on disembarkation that I thought he'd reheated the food on the engine, such was the heat. I miss the PD bubbles but V2.0.

Beef rendang. Despite the small size of the beef, I mixed it into the rice and it was fine. Most of the beef was fine… a bit of grissle but was edible. Loved the caramel slice.

And my wife had the Mac n Cheese with tomato relish. Described by CSM as “adults Mac n cheese”.

Hate it when the bacon is woke

Well… unfortunate at the time of posting that the video at the top of the linked story is ‘horror as ship carrying livestock capsizes off the coast of Yemen’. Complete with pictures of said stock in water :(

(i wasn’t brave enough to watch at first, but thankfully lots of small boats were on hand to rescue the poor animals! all seem well)
