After 30 years, VS is ending its flight between LHR and HKG and closing its HK office, citing the closure of Russian airspace to UK owned airlines for their decision. VS flights to HKG have been suspended since December 2021 because of HK's COVID rules, they were set to resume in March 2023.

it is sad to see, hkg would be a money earner for them now, i dont mean the flight to hkg, but the flight back to LHR. This is because many hkers are planning to leave HKG under BNO visa as an escape route from the Chinese rule!

They can fly on SQ or even CX. The HKG government would have difficulty restricting people with both HK and BNO passports from travelling. Leave HK on your HK passport and then enter the UK on the BNO.

VS is basically Delta (UK) and has a US centric network to match.

I agree CX has flights to UK, but many HKers don’t trust this airline - will CX send their details to China, this is because compared to VS, CX has a majority shareholder in CA… that’s why they prefer VS or BA service instead
