Virgin and Apple IOS9 Wallet/Passbook

Since I updated to IOS9 on my Iphone The boarding passes no longer automatically popup waith an "addto" go into the new Wallet application as they did with the old Passbook. Is it just me or are others having the same thing?
A bit frustrating
 
Not just you mate - I've been running the iOS 9 beta for a few months now and it hasn't been adding anything.
My first experience with this was when I checked in 2 days in advance of an up-and-back trip to Canberra, and thought that seeing as I checked in for the whole return trip at the same time as the outbound flight, maybe it had something to do with that. I provided the feedback to VA on the website, just saying "hey, running iOS 9, didn't have the add to passbook/wallet icon anymore and the OS isn't recognising the boarding pass to add to Passbook (like it used to before it had the dedicated Passbook button)". Basically got a "thanks for the feedback and sorry it didn't work for you" response.
Happened again on my MEL-BNE-CNS and CNS-SYD-MEL flights.

I would hazard a guess that something's changed in the coding in the OS, possibly even just renaming Passbook to Wallet is enough to throw it, if the website is specifically looking for an app called "Passbook".

Totally agree though, it's frustrating, but I suppose all we can do is continually give the feedback that the Add to Wallet function has been lost and hopefully they might get it on to their web team to look at correcting. But definitely not just you.
 
There is an update to Ios9 which was put out yesterday so it may of been fixed in that update.
 
On iOS 9, I managed to add my boarding pass to Wallet from the check-in success screen (where Passbook is explicitly an option).

But the option isn't offered from the link that you get via SMS/email, so my traveling companion on the same booking couldn't get theirs. Very annoying!
 
Interesting! At least part of the problem seems to be addressed - because we didn't even have the Wallet/Passbook option! Slowly, slowly :)
 
Yay! Passbook worked! Checked in for MEL-BNE on Monday morning (VA303 6am flight... Still don't know why I did that to myself...) and was given the passbook option so that's a start. Not game to try the email link, and SMS isn't an option if you had passbook.
 
Close but no cigar this morning ... Virgin app now at least sees Passbook option ... downloads passbook/wallet ticket but disappears before I can click Add ........ very frustrating. Went back to app and sent SMS - does exactly the same thing - Safari opens the ticket but it disappears just as fast ... teasing Virgin!
