Received and activated my card today after applying on Monday. Very quick, very easy, and paypass actually works consistently with this card (unlike the NAB Amex).

Has everyone that initially received 80k points on the 110k deal now been topped up the remaining 30k?... Few calls to AMEX and additional points have yet to materialise.

I called Amex today as I had only had 80,000 posted to my account. The guy I spoke to initially asked me for the link I used, but while I was looking for it, he found a note on the system to say that 174 new applications had been 'under rewarded'. He simply messaged his supervisor and assured me that the missing points would be posted.

I only got the 80,000 and hope the other 30,000 post in due course. I already hold another Amex, so probably won't chase the balance, just in case.

Hmmm, Smatho10 kindly used my link on 3 July but I have no sign of the referral points. Any one else whose link was used around that time got their referral points?

I suspect they will post in the coming days. I'd had a friend apply around a similar time and they posted last night, seems like a bunch of people received their referral bonus' at the same time so shouldn't be far off!

Just received the Velocity card and will hopefully get the 110,000 points when I pay off the tax bill I was surprised with last week!

This card is not truly suitable to pay ATO as the earn rate per point will cost you 2.9 cents.
Go to the ATO threads for help on this matter.

Oh believe me, I'm not fussy who uses mine

. I just wondered if there was any way of keeoing track. If Amex have stuffed up points , then they may well ' miss' a few referrals ....

My +1 signed up, got her card 2 days ago, spent $1045 yesterday, and the 110000 pts are in her Amex account today.....wonder if I can sneak the pts from her Velocity account across to mine without her noticing

...I'm ineligible for this offer as I already have the Amex Plat reserve card
