VIRGIN will be selling 1000 $1 plane seats exclusively over the internet tonight.
Seats on flights going from Canberra to Sydney, Canberra to Coolangatta, Port Maquarie to Sydney and Albury to Sydney will be on sale for one hour from 8pm (AEST).
The sale is to celebrate the first anniversary of Virgin flying jets between these destinations

8PM AEST is 9PM AEDST , Virgin is based in Brisbane hence the lack of reference to daylight savings!

Fares still don't look to be loaded, but there is now a promo banner on the homepage. Clicking it goes to a generic specials page that doesn't have any mention of $1 flights.

Well done! I still can't see any details of these fares on the site. Can't access the T&Cs, so can't see what time periods the fares are for. Think I'll just give up.

The fares were for travel between April 29 and June 25, and checked baggage charges would apply.
