I've always been able to add oneworld itineraries into the "Trips" tab in the qantas app, a few days ago my CX bookings dropped out and I can't add them back in (using the PNR + Last Name). Is this some sort of policy change or bug? (I can still manage the bookings via the Cathay website)

I tried to add a BA booking (only BA metal/marketed) yesterday on the mobile app, no luck.

On the web app, I can open that BA booking with manage my booking, inputing ref and last name, but it doesn't remain in the list under "my booking".

Think it can be an issue with airlines who don't use Amadeus.

Personally prefer using more consolidated itineraries like TripIt, or this forums new favourite TripWaffle.

Maybe, but in these examples CX and BA are Aamdeus hosted. Is 2 Factor Authentication required for these carriers ala QR?
I recall reading a post from one of the travel agents here that the PNR owning airline can ( and do) put blocks on PNR 'sharing' of this type.

Was it ticketed?

Unticketed bookings will often disappear.

Simply put, Qantas now don't allow PNRs in their app that are not Amadeus or do not have QF marketed/operated segments and are not Qantas (081-) ticketed.
I have upcoming AY, BA and CX PNRs still showing.

I don’t have one at the moment, but IB usually shows.

Is this supposed to be a policy change?

My Cx booking coming up soon still shows- and there is certainly nothing overpriced Qantas involved! ;)

I had MH flights showing as Trips in the QF app as late as last week but they have disappeared and I cannot add them in the app.

I recently acquired a new phone and when I opened the app on that phone the trips were simply missing.
When I opened the app on my old phone, the trips were there, but they disappeared a second later as I watched.

I checked and my QFF number is still in the booking on the MH website.
So this is definitely yet another QF enhancement.

On the website, on the "My Bookings" page, I now see this text which I had not noticed before:
For oneworld® member airline bookings that don't include a Qantas marketed flight number, check with the partner airline for your flight details.
I wonder if this is new.
In any event the enhancement makes the app significantly less useful.
And it's very annoying.

I find partner bookings do drop out from the app from time to time and then you need to readd them. Did this morning with 2 paid BA bookings. This does not seem to happen to partner bookings on a Qantas ticket (ie FF redemptions with JQ, AY etc)
