I had the same problem when getting a visas for my mate. His wife is Vietnamese, so she could suss out which was legit, but they all looked suspicious to me!

The gov.vn at the end pretty much ensures legitimacy, however, at least as legit as it gets in VN.

I was just glad that I could enter without a visa on my British passport.

I used this link a couple of weeks ago (and many times pre-Covid), VISA in my email inbox within 72h

Hi Bertflyer - I've just received my visa from the Vietnam immigration department (using this site) though the QR code doesn't work. Do you know if there is a waiting period for this or is the pdf itself the visa?

I will let you know tomorrow morning on arrival. We used the same site this time and just printed a hard copy.

Used this link today to apply for a visa, 72 hour turnaround.

Looking fwd to any data points on use.

Quick question for those who know HAN (or even SGN) immigration… Vietnam airlines is offering an AUD30 ‘meet at aircraft door’ service which then stays with you through all entry formalities and visa processing. Thoughts on whether this is needed? It 100% was at bali, saved a couple of hours.

This will be our first time flying into HAN as usually we fly into SGN but have never felt the need for the service there so haven’t bothered.

I just printed the pdf and showed that at immigration at Hanoi. That’s all I’ve ever had to do on previous occasions as well.

No need in Hanoi, you’ll be through immigration fairly quickly, wait for bags at the belt and then I am usually waived through customs in the green aisle without another another X-ray

Disembarked at 1135 and was out the front getting in a taxi at 1155, smooth sailing.
Short walk from gate to immigration, only a few in the line and just handed over passport and hard copy of visa, stamped almost instantly and then straight down the escalator to the luggage carousel and our baggage came out a few minutes later.
Masks still strictly enforced on flight and at airport though

Hi all, have any of you had issues with payment? I've just lodged 2 e-visa's and it says payment information incorrect both times. In the terms & conditions it says it can take up to 2 hours for the payment to lodge successfully so I've waited 3 hours and it still says no payment has been made. I don't want to have to pay 4 times instead of twice, any tips?

I am going to apply for e-visa using the official vietnamese government website (listed above). Wondering how was your payment transactions going? Did it go through your visas got approved eventually? Will appreciate your reply.
