In the local Kazakh language, Kazakhstan is spelt "Қазақстан". The "Қ" is sometimes transliterated into English as K or KH, but the language is currently undergoing a reform and the "correct" transliteration is now Q. But all transliterations are kind of used interchangeably in English.
