Today at Sydney saw VH-OJJ with Qantas livery painted out. Looked very sad...what's happening to her?

End of lease off to the desert mid April, with 734 VH- TJJ joining her later in the year, otherwise known as Tango Hooks in ATC world when rego were call signs.

Quite a few end up at Pinal, where sadly most of my favourite aircraft were destined, the Beech Starship, the first production composite aircraft in the world.

Saw her on Sunday...very sad tail and even looks crimson than red....74s not the future like, as well, 76s...missed the 777 big time

The big bird has been parked on the QF Jetbase for a few days - the words have been painted over with white or removed, while the kangaroo has been painted a shade of red to match the rest of the tail. Although the red paint used doesnt quite match standard QF red. And you can still see part of the kangaroo if you look closely. She looks old and tired, and is ready to spend her twilight years napping in the desert sun

I thought the tail looked like they pulled off a decal and the different red colour was because under the decal was unfaded.
