Seems to be decent value but haven't checked which restaurants are in the program
 
Same restaurants as QFF, and only a better deal if you are booking for less than 5 people.

They are not the same restaurants, QF is Dimmi and Velocity is bookarestaurant.com , eg Katoomba has QFF with 1, VFF with 3 options. Obviously some crossover but by no means the same for both.

When will they learn to get it right. So I had a look in Canberra and there were 8 to choose from. Woot Woot!

For each I would earn 300 points for a booking not 500. Strange I thought, so I read the T&C which staes For each honoured booking made online, Velocity members will earn 300 Velocity Points. From time to time, additional bonus Points will be offered and these promotions will be clearly promoted as such on the www.bookarestaurant.com/velocity website.
So back to the email - Make a date online today at bookarestaurant.com/velocity - there are over 400 restaurants to choose from - to dine during December 2014 or January 2015. Once you’ve dined, the Points are yours! - sneaky they dont say how many points. But the header says 500 points and the booking page still says 300 points. This is seriously misleading and if it is true that you only get 300 points then this shonky advertising can only be labelled as a sham.

Perhaps there is something that I am missing......................but I cant see what!
 
Ahhhh figured it - you get 300 points for a booking and for this special period Dec to Jan you get an extra 200 bonus points (total 500 points) - Pity they dont have that on the T&C for each restaurant
 
Don't expect them to make it easy for us to understand. Not going out of my way to dine over this period, but will look when I do at both VA and QF "frequent eat" programs
 
Velocity Service Centre today refuse to honour bonus points for valid January 2015 restaurant reservations. Velocity claim this promotion was for December 14 only notwithstanding that I have seen the Velocity website in January 15 promoting the 200 bonus points.

Has anyone also experienced this approach of Velocity Service Centre or can help me with proof of the bonus offer applying in January - i.e. you were awarded the 500 points [unfortunately my claim has been manually processed as the restaurant did not acknowledge the very recently made reservation at time of dining]

Sadly I can't provide you proof but in the OP, it has a picture showing the terms and conditions so that should be more than enough?

Ask to speak to a supervisor maybe?

Dealing with the VA call centre robots is hard work.

Be calm. Keep talking and elevate elevate elevate. Eventually hopefully you will get transferred out of their cheap Asian factory to Australia and that is in my experience where you get people able to make decisions not just read you lines from manuals.

@VirginAustralia on Twitter seems to be quickest way to get any sort of response from them. Put your problem out there and when they respond, don't be fobbed off, ask for a Velocity supervisor to contact you from Brisbane.

Theres nothing like having to do 'battle' with a company to be a loyal customer, NOT :shock:
