Verizon Pre-Paid Plan - What am I missing?

I'm going to the states for just over a month in the new year. I'm researching plans & providers for my iPhone 4S.
Verizon apparently has the best coverage in the area I'm in.

I read the sticky on mobile/data in the USA but now I'm looking at Verizon's pre-paid plan.

Is there something I'm missing? Unlimited text, voice and data for $50 doesn't sound too bad to me! Is this right?
 
You can't use a 4S on Verizon if it was not activated as a CDMA iPhone 4S.
