Velocity Status Benefits on Partner Airlines

Further to my previous post regarding lounge access in DOH for VA WPs, I noticed that the QR boarding pass showed my status as Velocity GL which I interpreted as Gold. I didn't query it at the desk as I had my physical card and most of the benefits are the same for WP as SG. Was this an anomaly or does the QR system not differentiate between VA Plat and Gold?
I believe QR boarding passes shows PT for VA Platinum (but EMER in other cases where it's oneworld status).

@Rebus It definitely does show PT.

I flew two intra-Gulf region QR flights in Y this week and had my VA number in the system. (booked through QR website - QR tix)

On the stub side of the boarding pass only, it had small text “VA********123/PT”

I had no issues checking in at the J/F counter at JED; was directed to third party lounge at JED; or accessing QR Plat lounge at DOH.

Thanks. In that case it seems that the QR system is not correctly identifying my status. Or that there is an issue on the VA side. In some ways it doesn't really matter as VA Gold still enables me to use the J counter and access priority boarding which is all I am really interested in when travelling with my family.

Were you Gold at the time of booking and attained Platinum subsequently?
