Hi all,
Returning from the US in December (travelling on an Aussie passport under the VWP), the Qantas staffer @ LAX didn't remove the green form from my passport on departure...and I didn't realise until I landed in LAX again in early Feb.
The TSA officer at arrivals gave me a letter saying I have to send off a bunch of information to validate my departure within 90 days (surely the fact that I'd returned to the US within 90 days is enough evidence to prove I actually left??
).
So I have to send a bunch of information to Kentucky, which isn't a problem, except they're requesting a copy of my boarding pass (LAX-SYD) from December...which I don't have!
I can show passport stamps, credit card slips (something they metion on the letter), payslips, my Feb Visa Waiver (evidencing my return to the US within the original 90 days) and a screenshot of my QFF page, but not my boarding pass.
Has anyone had experience with this before? (I understand it's fairly common). Will they be OK with all the above evidence, minus my boarding pass?
Appreciate any advice.
Cheers,
