Hi all,

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere.

Do all paid fares on VA flight numbers operated by SQ earn satus credits towards velocity?

Was searching for a multi city ticket and only webjet and another online travel agent seemed to have this particular fare. They dont display the fare code or atleast I am unable to find it

I tried finding on the ITAMatrix tool but these particular routings dont show up.

Thanks in advance for the help

Can you share the fare?

When VA marketed only the following fare classes earn:
S, T, Q, V, N, E, L, Y, B, H, K, O, W, D, I, J and C

Transform your lounge room (or any indoor space) into your own private movie theatre in just a few seconds.

Our Mini Pocket Projector is small, light and easily transportable. A must have!

$55 in Webjet fees!

That's quite common. I never book through webjet however once had to when they had a fare which Qantas couldn't even price online or via phone. Ended up being $908 on Qantas for BNE-SYD-PEK-SYD-CHC.

Sure, here it a screenshot and the link.

I've had a look and the SQ/MI operated flights (VA marketed) are booking into E class on the way over and V class on the way back with the final BNE-WLG booking into S.

The systems pricing it as an Australia to Asia return then adding the seperate BNE-WLG as an add on hence the different fare types (Elevate on the SQ/MI and Getaway on the VA BNE-WLG).

As a result the earnings should be:
MEL-SIN - 30 status credits and 1872 points
SIN-MAA - 20 status credits and 908 points
MAA-SIN - 20 status credits and 908 points
SIN-BNE - 30 status credits and 1908 points
BNE-WLG - 20 status credits and 780 points

Very similar flights are available through Virgin direct however the price is $64 more (but it avoids the 18 hr stop in Singapore) (Follow the link to Virgin's site at the bottom). Virgin should also be able to price it over the phone including the one which webjet is showing however it might take a while and it will require a phone fee ($70).

Also whilst I'm at it I'll rant about the way webjet lists the fees... It is borderline misleading making out Virgin has so many taxes.

This is what they (webjet) list for that fare...

Virgin Australia Passenger Movement Charge $60.00
Virgin Australia Tax F1 $16.20
Virgin Australia Inland Air Travel Taxes $1.70
Virgin Australia Tax $15.50
Virgin Australia Tax L7 $6.60
Virgin Australia Passenger Service Charge $13.00
Virgin Australia Safety and Security Charge $4.01
Virgin Australia Passenger Fee $8.40
Virgin Australia Passenger Services Charge - International $22.28

This is what it should be...

Australia Passenger Movement Charge PMC (AU) $60.00
New Zealand Border Clearance Levy International Arrival (F1) $16.20
India User Development Fee Departures (IN) $1.70
New Zealand Passenger Service Charge International Arrivals (KK) $15.50
Singapore Airport Development Levy (L7) $6.60
Singapore Passenger Service And Security Fee Pssf (SG) $13.00
Australia Safety And Security Charge Departure (WG) $4.01
India Passenger Service Fee (WO) $8.40
Australia Passenger Services Charge Departure International (WY) $22.28

None of those charges are actually "Virgin Australia Tax" and are all Government or airport taxes.
