I’m seeking some information regarding Seat allocation on VA codeshare QR flights.
I have confirmed that it still is not possible to select seats on QR metal via the VA website. This has been confirmed by a Velocity membership Support “ Please know Seat Allocation is not included as a reciprocal benefit for premium members, seat allocation will be subject for our Airline partners policy. “
I assume that booking J via VA codeshare is aligned with QR J classic fares.
As such I also assume that by managing the VA booking on the QR website you will probably have to pay for seat allocation. A dummy booking ADL-FRA-ADL indicates the 4 sector J seat allocation would cost a total of $504.
Appreciate any feedback from someone who has had recent experience.
Also would holding VA Gold FF status entitle you to free seat selection via QR website.
