V Australia plane landing into Melbourne

I live near the airport and saw a V Australia (B777) plane land into Tullamarine at 12:10pm yesterday

Whats up with that

interesting!!! I have just got off the phone to V Aust and have had to rebook my flight from Melb to LAX.....they are not flying from Melb until december now and are only connecting thru Syd and Bris to LAX. I wonder why it was in Melb?

It's certainlly possible it was a V Australia plane. I've seen them there from time to time. I don't know why exactly, but seen it with my own eyes.

I remember a V Australia plane in Melbourne back in March. Explanation I got was that it had gone tech.

It could be a reason for it being there but I am just guessing?

Its not possible, because there was no 777's showing on radar at the time stated, unless the time is wrong?????

OK this is weird

I just looked up a picture of the V Australia plane and it has red with white stars on the tail

But the plane I saw was:

All white... with a big red V on the tail and what looked like 'V Australia' across the side near the front

What other airline has a big red V on the tail?

From memory it was a WHITE tail with a BOLD red V

And I don't remember the red stripe on the side
