Hi all

Not a frequent flyer and never been in a airport lounge, so I have a few questions. My friend has some digital lounge invitations which he won’t use and from what I understand, these can be transferred to QFF memberships.

Myself, wife and 3 kids are flying BNE-SYD-YVR (QF flights) in November. We’ve got the whole morning before we board at BNE at 2pm so I’m wondering what peoples experience has been at the BNE lounge and what refreshments are like. I couldn’t find exactly what the lounge access gives you once inside.

Has anyone used a lounge pass that has been given to them by a friend?

Thanking you in advance.

One lounge pass will not be yourself, wife and 3 kids into the lounge
How old are the kids? Older or younger than 3? Older or younger than 18?

There’s 5 passes. Kids are between ages of 7 and 13.
So should be good to go :)
Food and drinks (all complementary) is basic but better than paying outside.
At ~midday should not be too crowded

Once your friend transfers these to your FF number, you will need to log in to your FF account and link them to your flight. Qantas wont let you in to the lounge without doing this first.
Personally i would wait until you got to the International Business lounge in SYD to use your invites, as the food and drink options are better.

Unfortunately we won't have any spare time between our connecting flights in Sydney. We literally land 1.5 hours before our flight to YVR departs (which is a bit concerning for us, but Qantas assures us this will be fine). We've had 2 schedule changes since booking our flights in Febraury - we were originally flying BNE-LAX-YYC but Qantas cut the scheduled BNE-LAX flight.

That is a VERY short connection in Sydney, so you are correct - you wont have any time in that lounge. Enjoy the BNE one - and your trip of course.
