Classic Upgrade Rewards on more flights

Now available on eligible Qantas codeshare flights to Santiago and Noumea.24

Has this been done before?

Classic Upgrade Rewards are available on Classic Flight Rewards in Economy and Premium Economy, eligible paid and confirmed Qantas domestic and international flights with a QF flight number on your ticket and, from time to time, on codeshare flights operated by another carrier that have a Qantas (QF) flight number on your ticket, now including QF5027/QF5028 (operated by LAN) on services between Melbourne and Santiago; QF363/QF364 (operated by AirCalin) on services between Brisbane and Noumea; and QF361/QF362 (operated by AirCalin) between Sydney and Noumea. Classic Upgrade Rewards are subject to capacity controls and availability is limited. Classic Upgrade Rewards are not available from all fare types. See tables on the Qantas website for details. Classic Upgrade Rewards are subject to capacity controls and availability (which is limited).

Yes it has been done before (on LAN)

I have a feeling that these codeshares are the type where each airline has access to a block of seats.
