Hey team, wow what an awesome community here... can't believe it's taken me this long to find AFF!
The Trip:
So I've booked a great little snow trip in Dec/Jan with some points I've built up... as expected it was impossible to get any business class award seats:
81,300 - MEL to LAX - Qantas - Premium Economy Award
20,000 - LAX to YYC - WestJet - Economy Award
20,000 - YYC to LAX - WestJet - Economy Award
70,800 - LAX to HND - Japan Airlines - Premium Economy Award
26,000 - NRT to MEL - Jetstar - Economy Award
Total: 218,100
Understand I probably could have paid cash for the internal WJ flights but I've been smashing the CCs and Christmas is a bit insane with revenue flights.
Snow Cover and CDW
Anyways just wanted to post the above to give context, I'm heading back to BC Canada for a ski road trip and I'm still unsure on the car insurance side of things... last time I went I went with cover-more who seemed to have decent snow inclusions and CDW cover... now this is where I am getting tripped up because I have asked their support team both through email and via phone if they provide CDW and they say no.
When I look at the PDS it says:
Collision/Loss Damage Waiver $200,000, Collision/Loss Damage Waiver in USA and Canada Available If You selected USA or Canada as Your destination or if Your area of travel is Worldwide policy that includes travel to the USA and Canada. If, during the Period of Insurance and during the term of any single Vehicle Rental Agreement You become liable to pay for any accidental damage to the Rental Vehicle (including damage caused by fire, theft, vandalism and damage to windscreens, tyres, roof and the under-carriage), We will pay the costs You become liable to pay. We will also pay for any rental fees charged by the Rental Company You are liable for during the period that the Rental Vehicle is unable to be used by You and for any related towing costs as long as those fees or costs are the result of accidental damage or theft. We will not pay: 1. any payment or any claim for that You are not liable for under the Vehicle Rental Agreement for loss or damage to the Rental Vehicle. 2. where You were not driving or in control of the Rental Vehicle. 3. where the Rental Vehicle is being driven by a driver who is not stated or named on Your Vehicle Rental Agreement.
Can someone give me a definitive answer? Appreciate your help team <3
