Just updated my visa waiver details for a trip to SFO/LAX in Nov and now find it costs US$14 to apply when you go to the ESTA site.
The upside is that it gives a 2 year expiry date, and if you do an application when you already have one in the system, it warns you that it is still there.
Just another cost to enjoy a trip to LOTFAP I guess.
