US Trip Status & Points Earn

Hello All

I've got the following trip booked. I'm in D class on QF and P Class on the AA flights.

Could you give me an idea of the points and credits I could expect to earn from this trip?

25 Jun 06 - Sydney - San Francisco - QF073
25 Jun 06 - San Francisco – Dallas - AA658
25 Jun 06 – Dallas – Richmond - AA2092

29 Jun 06 – Richmond – Dallas - AA2021
29 Jun 06 – Dallas – LA – AA745
29 Jun 06 – LA – Sydney – QF12


I've just achieved platinum status and wouldnt mind keeping hold of it....

You can find the SC and QF FF points earned on the Qantas flights from ther Qantas FF web site using the Earning Points Calculator.

For the AA, flights, use the Great Circle Mapper or AA web site (they show the distance in the flight details when you search the schedule) to determine the flight distance. Then multiple the distance by 2.5 to add the 100% Platinum Status Bonus plus the 50% First Class cabin bonus (the AA domestic flights in P are seen as First Class).

For Status Credits, reference the distance against the SC earning table on the QF FF web site.

2*90+2*120 for the P fares=420

Total SC=780

I'd got the calculation wrong - I'd got the QF bit fugured, but messed up on the AA stuff - to my advantage!
