Speaking of MPM on the East Coast-HKG-US West Coast route, according to bcworld 's very useful chart, MEL-HKG-LAX would be permissible, whereas SYD-HKG-LAX would not. What about CBR-MEL-HKG-LAX/SFO/YVR? Would that go over the MPM?

Thanks! So it looks like from CBR the only legal destination would be YVR, right? (Assuming 25M is the relevant figure, correct?)

Do you guys foresee any issues with SYD-MEL-DOH-CDG (dest) using QF/QR/QR and CDG-HKG-(stop)-SYD using CX? Well under MPM and I don't think I'm breaking any other rules.

I don't think you will have any problems with this. The only issue I can see is trying to get a seat melb to Doha. I have tried but they seem to be few and far between but give it a go. The other option is Sydney - Perth - doha

For the dates I wanted (Oct 2015), there was plenty of availability (according to BA.com anyway) for MEL-DOH and PER-DOH. Was thinking of trying QF new transcon suites and go via PER but it is more inconvenient.

Was hoping our return in J - CDG/DOH/MEL for early Sept. next, finished up with CDG/DOH/PER on QR, the new A350 will be online then on last leg too, all booked using USDM as happy as.

Trying to do some planning for a trip in jan '16. Anyone had experience with Aus to Brazil? I know there was some discussion earlier re via JNB to GRU. Anyone been able to book that or go via DOH?

Is it possible to include syd-per too? Or does that take it over?

It does. It'll have to be two separate bookings, one from Perth to Brazil (120K) plus the SYD-PER-SYD (30K). Overall 150K in J and you'll get two additional stopovers in Perth

Cool. Thanks for your help. Will see how it plays out in the next couple of weeks when seats open. Appreciate it.

Thinking about HKG-DUB.. but I'm not sure what other routes have F suites... Especially since QR won't open up seats from BKK-DOH that forces me to take J on that route... HKG-BKK-DOH-LHR-DUB. Any other suggestions?

I want to try QR F and CX F on the inbound flight but I'm QR doesn't currently have any other A380s operating to/from Asia.

I am monitoring MEL-syd-SIN-bkk-CMB-hkg-MEL for 8 pax for approx. Dec 28 to SIN to CMB on Jan 2 and back home about a fortnight after that. Looking at J for all with 2 of us in F on the SYD-SIN. I'd have rathered CX J throughout but that would smash MPM. Anyone see any MPM issues with what I've got there?

F Suites or is plain old F OK? Also, do you mean Dublin or Dubai as the latter is IATA code DXB?

Dub as in Dublin and I would prefer the A380 suites... but DOH-LHR is okay but BKK-DOH is a big no no. Any other OW carriers that fly from North Asia to DOH that have F suites?
