Uploading Covid-19 digital certificate to american airlines for online check in

Hello
Has anyone checked in online with American Airlines and had success uploading their digital Covid Vaccination certificate on the AA app or do I need the VeriFLY app?

Have done neither. Only the attestation form.
Just checked in at the airport and produced it there.
