Hi Everyone, Excuse the Noob Question.

If I upgrade a say MEL/SYD leg with FF points, do i earn J class SC on that sector, SC from my original booking class, or no SC at all?

Cheers

Ryan

Nope!

See here:
16.1.5 The following conditions apply to the use of Flight Upgrades:
...

(e) Points and Status Credits will be earned only for the class of service that has been purchased, rather than the upgraded class of travel;

You'll earn points/SCs based on the original booking class. Sometimes upgrades don't post properly (e.g., they post as if they were a redemption), but a quick e-mail or phone call to the QFF service centre fixes that.

Good show chaps, thanks for the quick reply.

i'll keep my point tucked away for a rainy day then :)

That exact thing has hapened constantly to me when upgrading to LHR - and, as you also said - a quick call to the Service Centre either back here or the London office has fixed things up for me each timeon-the-spot:): something to do with a computer hassle.
