Hi all,

Does a PS QP PE passenger have more/less/same chance of a points upgrade to J compared to a Y WP1/WP/SG????

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Much less, all of the other levels will have their request granted before the PS pax.

This is what the T&Cs have to say:

16.3.3 Flight Upgrades will be awarded to Members according to their Qantas Frequent Flyer status levels in the following order: Platinum Members first, then Gold Members, then Silver Members and then Bronze Members.

They don't seem to differentiate on original booking class.

Thanks for the reply. This is what I thought although I find it strange that a pax in a lower class can trump a higher paid class ticket for an upgrade.....

How about oneworld emerald and sapphire (non QFF)? Where do they rank?

I expect Yield Management will trump both if that's any consolation.

Sorry does that mean a higher paying ticket i.e PE has a better chance than a lower paying ticket i.e Y?

I haven't a clue but one scenario might be that there is a single seat remaining in J plus a single seat in PE and you have requested an upgrade, potentially leaving two PE seats for sale.
If they can sell those two PE seats for cash than perhaps you get your upgrade to J and WP stays in Y.
Pure speculation on my part though and there are endless permutations.
