Hi guys,

Thanks for all your help on my last post.

Well the day of my SYD-LHR flight is looming - flying out tomorrow on QF31. Can't wait for the holiday althought it has to be said that I'm not looking forward to the flight in good ole cattle class!

My next question is about points upgrades. If a platinum FF friend of mine was to put through a request for an upgrade to business for me today, is it likely to go through? I know platinums are at the top of the upgrade wait-list - but can anyone shed any more light?

Also if this is the case I would have to transfer some points over to her to make this happen, and I don't have enough. Does anyone know the maximum you can buy from Qantas and how much they are? Alternatively is there anyone out there with a lot of FF points who is willing to give some to me as a gift, and in a totally unrelated instance I will give you some cash as a gift?

Cheers :)

Upgrade waitlist requests must be lodged at least 24 hours before departure. So get in quick.

You can only purchase points for use towards a specific award. Unfortunately that does not include family transfers or upgrade waitlists.
