Booked in Y+ to LHR, wondering if I can pay to upgrade one leg to J.

I have previously been quoted a sector fee to go from Y to Y+, just wondering if same is possible.

Load looks light, upgrade roulette is the objective.

It should be possible by calling; you may have to pay a change fee, service fee and any fare difference.

Don't expect it to be inexpensive.

I believe it could/should be possible but the cost should bring your fare up to what the original J fare would have been.

Why would they do it any other way?

From looking at PE prices and J prices if you would only want to upgrade one way the difference is around 2100 plus fees.

Airline? Flight details?

If you are looking for a bargain I don't think that will be possible, but always happy tobe proved wrong.

Input appreciated... on recollection the "cost effective" upgrade price was on legs of a RTW fare I was working up. For the reasons pointed out, not effective on point to point.
