Hi everyone,

Did a search but couldn't find an answer.

Does anyone know, if I have a Super Saver ticket with QF, and upgrade with points to Business (domestic), will I attain the flexibility of a business class fare in terms of being able to change the flight on departure?

Possibly a cheaper alternative to purchasing a Flexi Saver, which in this case is 3x the price...

I would imagine that there is a clause in there somewhere that says that all the rules of the underlying booking still apply....

But I hope I'm wrong! ;)

And not only do the fare rules of the purchased fare apply, so to does availability for the class you have moved into - Award U if you are talking upgrade to business domestically.

Hypothetically, if you had started with the flexi-saver, and the flexibility of that applied, if you wanted to retain the Business class upgrade, you would require U class availability on the flight you were trying to move to.

Adding an upgrade (or any other change, other than paying $$) in general will only ever decrease your flexibility.
