Upgrade request/seat selection

Hi folks, forgive me if this has been answered somewhere else but will give it a go.

I am heading to UK in January on QF9 and have requested upgrade using points to J and fall back to Y+ if J not available/approved .

I'm a fairly tall guy so looking to hedge worst case scenario with a paid exit row seat.

My question is - if I do get upgraded to either does my exit row fee get refunded?

Consider the exit row fee as insurance against not getting the upgrade - and hope you don't have to claim.

No you can not get it back
