Upgrade Question

hoping you might be able to help.

I have ~300,000 Virgin points.

We have booked a trip to Europe on Sing air in May.

Can i open an Kris Flyer account now, Link the flights to the account, transfer over the points and the use them too upgrade the family (even if it is just one leg).

If you're looking to upgrade from Economy, check if your flights are Y, B or E class as per note on https://www.singaporeair.com/saar5/pdf/ppsclub_krisflyer/charts/SQMI_OneWayUpgradeCharts.pdf
These are the most expensive Singapore Airlines Economy fares.

Theoretically possible, but as noted only the most expensive SQ fares are upgradeable. Also, there would need to be business reward availability on the SQ flight/s. (You can check this before transferring the points across.)
