Hi,

I place my upgrade request (Y > J) about 1 month ago now for my SYD-SFO leg departing on Sunday the 28th of October. I just checked Seatcounter and from what I can gather, it looks pretty empty.

Could I get some expert advise about what my odds are like roughly 3 weeks out. I had to use my uncles account which unfortunately only a NB :(

Cheers.

From Expert Flyer:

F9 A9 J9 C9 D0 I0 B9 H9 K9 M9 R9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O7 X0 E0

That tells me the flight is pretty empty as you indicated.

With the lack of D class, it may be that Qantas expect to sell most of the remaining J seats at full or nearly rates. (The presence of C class gives a bit more hope).

Are you using points to upgrade?

What other option is there now that all Upgrade Credits have expired???
Don't know of any - just wondering. (I lost quite a few upgrade credits - couldn't get upgrade seats on any flights in their last few months before expiry - wasn't too impressed.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I think what NM was getting at may be to xfer the points to your account and do the request from there.

Edit: Then again I could have completely mis read the thread at ment to say rhjames.
