Unpublished status match offer for UA Premier 1K members

Just found this: Oneworld Emerald

Essentially, AA appears to be offering Executive Platinum status (OW Emerald) to UA Premier 1K members. The article mentions that this is not published on their website, and you have to call AA reservations to request an email of the offer, but that the status (once matched) is valid until February 2013.

If any 1Ks on here do make the call, do let us know how you go! :)

Lots and lots of stuff on FT about this, both on the UA/CO and AA fora ...

The UA MP program has been severely attenuated since the merger with CO and many are jumping ship.

However, some are never satisfied:
