United to fly to Cape Town

United has announced that it will fly to Cape Town, South Africa from Newark. EWR-CPT flights will be seasonal and 3x weekly starting on 15/12/19.

I didn't see this route coming. Interesting to see a non-stop service to the USA out of Cape Town. Hopefully there will be some decent award availability (one can hope, anyway!).
