Hi

Further to a previous post where the overwhelming majority suggested that the better Star Alliance FF program for me would be United, I am wondering whether anyone knows if they'll match status?

I am presently QF Silver (not huge, I know, but I would like to keep even this minor benefit!) and will likely be renewed as Silver at the end of August. However, I don't anticipate taking any flights with QF between Aug 05 and Aug 06. So, if UA will recognise my existing status (I have lots of Star Alliance flights planned), all the better.

Thanks again for your advice!

Geoff.

geoff78, presumably after this post you saw the UK status match thread. If you can qualify, at very worst you'd be UA Preferred (better than the base membership).

Or herhaps take the AA Plat Challenge and then ask UA to match your AA Plat status.
