Anyone know what time United open checkin at LAX for the evening flight to Sydney (UA 839)? I'm arriving in LA at 3pm on a Southwest flight and want to check my bags in so I can go to Santa Monica for a few hours. I know I've checked in early at LAX for the Qantas flight to Sydney before, but not sure about United. Thanks

G'day Russellel,
You should be fine to check in whenever you arrive at LAX, as you'll be departing from UA's 'own' terminals: either T6 or T7. They should have plenty of the self check-in terminals and staff available to help you out if needed.
