Thursday 29 June 2023 sees B789 N19986 on UA60 from SFO to MEL likely to arrive at gate at 0858 hours, 43 minutes late. Fortunately the 1055 hours returning flight, UA61, has a greater than minimum turnaround allowance so there's a chance it could punctually depart.

UA863 from SFO but to SYD is similar, with B773ER N2748U suggested as arriving shortly at 0802 hours, 62 late. UA870 returning is the 1025 hours so again, it could well depart at or close to time. It's good when airlines don't insist on 90 minute turnarounds at 'outstations'.

On Tuesday 8 August 2023, UA60 from SFO down to MEL (B789 N19951) was as at 0831 hours in a holding pattern above Mt Buller, Victoria so expected at gate arrival becomes 0900 hours or later, so at least 45 minutes tardy. There is some fog in the Melbourne region.

UA97 BNE to SFO creating havoc at BNE. Seems like that it is stuck on the runway for over 27 minutes now creating a lot of Virgin/Qantas diversion to Gold Coast, and a lot of holding patterns for incoming flights.

B787-9 N22995 on UA99 MEL LAX - the flight was meant to depart at 1130, now it’s a 3 hr delay to take off at approx 1440 - reason is unknown as the incoming flight arrived on time this morning!!

On some recent days, UA60 from SFO to MEL has been up to an hour and 50 minutes late which seems to be pushing back subsequent departures.

On Boxing Day, the scheduled 1300 hours MEL-SFO (UA61) arrived at its gate at 1114 hours, 169 minutes late. On Saturday 27, it arrived 112 minutes late at 1017 while today (Sunday 28 December 2025) B789 N29975 is estimated to depart MEL at the unusual time of 1539, 159 late.
