Unexpected SC and FF Points - Mel -Lax

Just looking at my FF statement and seems QF has given both my wife and I
full SC and FF points on our recent (5 days ago) Y return trip from Mel-Lax

Now we bought the cheapest Y tickets from QF.com Fully inflexible, no cancel, no change
and there was no upgrading the tickets cheap (1400 return for Jan)

The only extra thing i did do is pay for seat allocation.

Do you think this is a QF error or is it by some strange means the extra we paid for
seat allocation gave us SC/FF point ability ?

I have no issues accepting the SC and FF points as i must say it was one of the worst flights in both
directions I have ever had and its really put me off fly QF again. I have never experienced a totally
inept Y cabin crew in my 10 years flying. They make EK look good !

By full points do you mean economy rather than discount economy SC's? All revenue tickets (except public service etc) earn SC's and points on QF.

There's no difference in point earning on any revenue economy ticket - they all earn at the 1 point per mile rate.

A discount economy fare would have given you 45SC - did you receive that or 90?

Just to update being a NB I received

7923 FF points and 45 SC for each direction

so

15846 FF points and 90SC total

ahh i see the issue now

Under the booking screens

At the top column was listed Jet* Starter and when i read the TC it said

Points and Status credits are not earned when travelling on Starter fares.

But as we chose QF 93/94 these are normal QF flights and we got got the points and SC..

Just a tad confusing
