UK car hire website?

Hi,

I need to book a hire car in Scotland for a week in September and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good websites to book through? Or is it best just to go with one of the major chains (Avis, Hertz, etc)?

There are many firms which act as agents and are usually cheaper than renting direct. I have used Holiday Auto Rentals before - Holiday Autos - Compare Cheap Car Hire.

I also found that booking directly on the australian website was cheaper that the foreign site. cheaper and saved on the fx rate.

you might also like to try the agregatorsc such as netflights, Argus and driveaway ....
