To celebrate our “flyer friendly” campaign, we are releasing eight special-edition amenity tins starting January 3. Each tin features a hub region and is filled with in-flight amenities carefully selected to make your flight more comfortable.

Available to customers in United BusinessFirst and GlobalFirst on long-haul international flights departing from the United States, the collectible tins highlight each of our eight North America hubs. Customers will receive one of the tin designs, which feature distinctive imagery commissioned by us specifically for the campaign.

Looks like an old style pencil case, very old style.

I love em..retro n cool.. and offers many uses outside of the aircraft...ooops is my generation gap showing?

Swiss does the same but with pictures of their fleet on the lid. They are handy, I have a small collection for bits and pieces.

For all their lamentable in-air 'experience', I found the UAi F amenities kits to be some of the best around; also the kit given to you in their arrivals lounge (eg SFO). Lots of items, even a mini deodorant stick. The LAGs come in their own stout, zip-lockable clear plastic bag which can be easily presented for security.

I always like these little things. A few months ago on a Thai flight I got given a set of playing cards with a picture of their A380 on it, which I thought was kinda cool. It's these little collectables that you remember even if you don't make much use of them.
