hi there,
I am keen to find out about possibilities of re-entering Brazil on my second passport even though my first is still within the time frame that i cannot return to Brazil. I have tried researching this online but i can`t find any information.

Basically, with my brtish passport, i didn`t need a visa. I traveled for the length of stay (and a little longer) available. I just returned to Australia. I was under the impression that if i got a visa for brazil on my australian passport, i could legitimately return to Brazil - i guess i just thought it was a bonus of a dual national. I`ve since been told i cannot do this and i will be charged with fraud when i get to brazil. I am going to call the embassy tomorrow but keen to find out anyones thoughts on this...

Kind regards,
Lil

My guess is that you cannot return during that period, even with a different passport. The exclusion period applies to you, not your passport.

When you say "I traveled for the length of stay (and a little longer) available" - do you mean that you actually overstayed the maximum stay permitted (not requiring a visa) for a UK Citizen? I mean in the case where eg it may say that citizens of the UK don't need a visa for a stay of up to 30 days & you stayed 32 days.

My thought as well.

Can you update us once you have spoken with Embassy.
