Yes - they should have the not-quite-flat Skybed mk. I.

Next month I am flying from Sydney to Tokyo in J class.

I have the option of either seating in the upper deck 12J or the front row on the main 1B

As I am not familiar with the 2 class jumbos, would appreciate any thoughts on which section of the plane is better.

Thanks

I personally think it's a much of a muchness... Each area is fairly "private"... With each area like it's own mini cabin...

Obviously 1B = bulkhead row whilst 12J is not... Having sat in 12A I can say that isn't not a bad row of seats, but unless you want to be on the top deck, I'd go with 1B. AFAIK the video screen in 1B comes out of the seat and thus quite flexible in it's positioning, which makes it better if you want to convert the seat into a bed and still watch movies...

I don't have personal experience of this but I was looking into a business seat last night on a 2 class 747. Seat guru says the TV is on the bulkhead in front of 1B

As I said I haven't experienced this seat so the information might be wrong.
