TURKISH AIRLINES Business Jakarta to Paris return from $1,777 USD

What is it with these amazing fares ex CGK?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

There's a dude called Traveller Schnitzel (or similar) on Facebook that regular posts deals like this (ie from South East Asia to Europe via the Middle East etc). Worth seeking out.

Certainly nothing wrong with TK.
Agree. Just flew them BKK-IST-SKG and OPO-IST-KUL. Their motto seems to be 'too much good food is not enough'... Only real issue is that their J seats on the A330 and 777 are a bit dated (although airy and comfortable)...

Having said that, if you're more risk averse, they do offer ex-Oz mixed class fares to BKK (on TG or JQ) or SIN (on JQ) starting at $4.5k (so $US3k).

Melso. Can I ask where you spotted the mixed class fare? When all things work out it might not be too far off what you would have to pay to get to CGK.

If anyone has booked this how did you find the TK website? Easy enough to take a stopover option?

Add FRA to the list.

They're bookable on TK's site.

Basically, do a business class search on your preferred destination. There will be some options that show at about $2.3k one way (rather than $4.5k+). These are your mixed class fares (select 'flexible dates' if they're not showing). The main restrictions on the mixed class fares are that the leg in economy has to be on TG, JQ or OD (look for booking classes Q-J-J/Q-K-K on TG or E-J-J/E-K-K on JQ).

And it's easy to stick a stopover in (TK's multi-city option works well, unlike lots of other airlines' booking engines!). Also note there's a free two night stopover in IST (although IME, the hotels tend to be near the old airport miles from the centre of the action): https://www.turkishairlines.com/en-int/flights/stopover/
