I was playing around with my Velocity App last night and saw this offer on it. I didn't get an email and can't see it on the website.
Triple Bonus Points, book and ticket an eligible flight between December 5 and December 17 2019, Travel by November 3 2020.
Enjoy triple bonus points on eligible virgin australia flights.

Glad to have seen this as I was planning on booking a flight in the next two weeks.

My offer on the app only says 50% bonus points for the same dates you list.

Also received triple points. So does that mean if I earn 500 points on a flight I receive 1500 for the triple plus 1000 for plat. making it 2500 all up.

In the past it has meant that u would get 500 x 3 plus 500 for 2000.

Me too. 50% seems quite miserable by comparison. I wonder why the difference? I have a lot of flights coming up - both domestic and international - so is it something to do with frequency of flying? BCC24EB3-0A4B-4029-8297-2CC369E0E19D.jpeg

Is it for specific destinations or across all VA metal ?

All destinations I believe

“An Eligible Flight is a flight marketed and operated by Virgin Australia, between 12.01am AEDT 25 March 2019 and 11.59pm 5 January 2021 inclusive and booked and ticketed in a fare class that normally accrues Points.”

Are you required to book directly thru velocity website?

i don’t think that is required. Once you activate the offer , you can book your ticket anywhere not just Virgin Australia website.

Discount codes worked for the first booking i made under this promo. A shame that 90 seconds later I got a 30% discount offer via accelerate.
But still have more flights to book. $405 virgin business compared to $250 Qantas economy. hmm let me think...

I received the same accelerate offer, for the routes I regularly travel, J is approximately $30 cheaper each way than published flex Y. Not a hard decision.
